At UFC 287, Drake wins $2.7 million after placing two significant bets that Israel Adesanya would defeat Alex Pereira

After Israel Adesanya defeated Alex Pereira at UFC 287 to reclaim the middleweight title, rapper Drake took home a whopping $2.7 million.

Five months after losing the 185-pound title to his bitter rival Pereira, who has beaten him twice in kickboxing, the Nigerian-born New Zealander won it back. After backing Adesanya to win that fight, Drake lost $1.6 million, but in his rematch with Pereira, he made amends for the rapper.

Mirror UK reports that the Canadian placed bets of $500,000 on Adesanya winning, which brought in $885,00, and $400,000 on him winning by knockout, which brought in a whopping $1.8 million.

After Drake’s fight, Stylebender was asked about his wager, and he responded, ” Holler to everybody that bet on me yet you need to understand that when I step into the octagon I put my life at risk. That is the greatest possible parlay. I’m also a gambler, so shout out to stake; we’re about to make another deal and get more money.
