Donald Trump, a former US president, criticised Meghan Markle for how she treated the Queen, saying that she was “very disrespectful” to Her Majesty.
In a clip from the conversation, which will run tonight at 7 p.m. on GB News, Trump questioned Meghan’s treatment of Her Majesty.
The former US President said that, following the public spat between the Sussexes and the Royal family, he was “surprised” Prince Harry was invited to his father’s coronation.
Trump expressed his excitement for the big day on Saturday when speaking with former UKIP leader Nigel Farage on GB News. Trump also gave King Charles his complete support, stating the monarch “loves the country.”
He also paid respect to the late Queen Elizabeth II, thanking her for going through “years and decades without controversy” and called her “incredible.”
He declared, “I believe Meghan has treated the Queen with a great deal of disrespect.” How can you treat the Queen with such disdain?
“She [the Queen] was incredible; she never made a mistake for decades and decades.” I cannot recall a mistake she made; she never caused a stir.
You cannot treat somebody with contempt, and I believe Meghan treated her with extreme disdain, he said.
He continued by stating that he agreed with Farage when he declared that the Queen was “the most likeable person in the world.”
Trump said that he had great expectations for both the Coronation event and King Charles’s reign.
I think it’s going to be a beautiful day, I think they’ll do a tremendous job, and he [Charles] loves the nation,’ he declared. I got to know Charles fairly well, and I discovered that he genuinely loves his mother and the nation.
Because of this, in my opinion, Meghan treated her disrespectfully, and there was just no justification for doing so.
To be honest, “I was actually surprised that Harry was invited.”
It’s not the first time that Trump has criticised Prince Harry and his wife; in 2021, he said that Meghan had ‘treated the Duke poorly’ and that he didn’t like the former actress.
‘I’m not a fan of hers,’ he declared. I wasn’t right away. Harry has, in my opinion, been cruelly mistreated, and I believe he will come to regret it. Harry has, in my opinion, been horribly utilised. It hurts the Queen, and I believe it has damaged his relationship with his family.
Speaking of the duchess, he added: ‘I think she’s been very disrespectful to the Queen, who’s such a great woman, such a great person, a historic person. I think she’s very disrespectful to the Royal Family and most importantly to the Queen.’
