During the crowning of King Charles III and Queen Camilla at Westminster Abbey in London, one of the flag bearers reportedly passed out, according to sources.
Images that appeared online on Saturday showed the flag bearer, who was dressed in a red regalia, black pants and shoes, being helped after landing on his back by other flag bearers.
After Charles assumed control of the United Kingdom and 14 other Commonwealth states, Camilla, Charles’ 75-year-old wife, was also installed as monarch by Justin Welby, the Archbishop of Canterbury.
This coronation was the country’s first of its sort since 1953, or about 70 years ago.
