In an effort to give its Nigerian customers access to its services in the face of card payment difficulties, a cooperation between MTN and Apple Music has been officially announced.
The world’s largest mobile carrier MTN has teamed with Apple Music, one of the largest digital streaming services, to let Nigerian customers use its services without having to worry about how to pay with their naira cards.
MTN and Apple Music are providing Nigerian consumers with a six-month trial period before they may simply make a payment with airtime recharged to their phone numbers, it was revealed in an official release. All clients would be eligible for this deal starting today, Friday, April 14, 2023.
MTN Nigeria’s Chief Digital Officer, A’isha Umar-Mumuni, disclosed: We are constantly looking for ways to better serve our clients and give them access to tools and services that match their lifestyles. As Africans, music plays a major role in our daily life. Through this collaboration, we hope to improve Nigerians’ access to music and enhance music distribution there. There are millions of songs in the Apple Music library, both domestic and international. We anticipate exciting times and are enthusiastic about this partnership’s potential.
The MTN Play portal at https://play.mtn.ng/apple-music is where new and existing Apple Music subscribers may sign up. They can also choose to utilize the myMTN App, go to the MTN official website at www.mtn.ng, or subscribe by SMS by texting “MUSIC” to 8000 or by calling *447*2*4*1#.
