We’re into the quarter-finals of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, and Nigeria’s quest for the fourth title continues. It’s been 11 years since Nigeria were last crowned champions of Africa, beating Burkina Faso in the final in 2013. Since then, they have failed to qualify twice and finished third, before a last 16 exit two years ago.
Angola, meanwhile, have now equalled their best-ever run at the Africa Cup of Nations. Of their nine participations at the Africa Cup of Nations, Angola have only made it out of the group stage three times, including this year’s tournament.
